Eligibility & Application

Who Can Apply

The fellowship is open to recent graduates as well as early-career professionals who wish to enter, transition into, or advance within the public policy sector.

 

Applicants must have:

 

  • Completed an integrated five-year undergraduate degree, or

  • Completed a minimum one-year postgraduate degree

 

In exceptional cases, applicants with strong public interest or professional achievements may be considered even if they do not meet the formal academic thresholds.

Academic Requirements

Minimum academic thresholds apply and vary by discipline. Full details, including international equivalencies, are available in the downloadable prospectus.

How to Apply

1. Prepare your documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae (mandatory)

  • 500 word written sample on a contemporary public policy topic (mandatory - will be screened for plagiarism & AI-generated content)

  • Any supporting documentation for academic results or exceptional experience

3. Selection process:

  • Initial screening for eligibility and alignment with fellowship goals

  • Virtual interview for shortlisted candidates

  • Final selection based on a holistic review of merit, skills, and motivation

Key Dates

Application deadline: 20 May 2026

Interviews: 01-10 June 2026

Final selection announcement: 15 June 2026

Programme start: 03 July 2026

Fees & Payment

  • Programme Fee: INR 75,000 (inclusive of taxes) for the full two-month fellowship. Boarding and logistics are not covered. 

  • Wire transfer details will be shared with selected individuals. 

  • Candidates from economically weaker section may be eligible for financial support.
